Judicial Pro Tem Training - Seattle (and webcast)

September 7/8 judicial pro tem training in Seattle (and by webcast). This training is the final component of Justice at Stake’s Washington pilot program to increase diversity on the bench and is co-sponsored by WSBA-CLE, District and Municipal Court Judges' Association, National Association of Women Judges, Superior Court Judges Association, Washington State Supreme Court Gender and Justice Commission and Washington State Supreme Court Minority and Justice Commission.

Attorneys who complete this 1.5 day training will be listed as possible resources for future pro tem appointments. (NOTE: Completing this program does not guarantee a pro tem appointment, nor is it required to be on the list to be appointed.)

The program focus on the skills necessary to become an effective judge, and includes topics on courtroom management, handling pro se litigants, diversity, working with court personnel, practice bias, ethical conflicts for judges and more! The faculty is made up of judges, attorneys and court personnel.
