Gonzaga has hosted a human rights conference in Florence, Italy since 2017 with our partners at Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Italia. The conference is hosted during Gonzaga's law student global studies program each May-June. This video diary showcases our 2019 conference, Freedom of Expression as a Human Right.
For 2020, the conference theme will be Women's Rights as Human Rights, which will take place on June 7-8, 2020 in Florence. Although the conference is academic in nature, we welcome the perspectives of practicing attorneys whose professional experience or research would provide insight on these topics. We also do not require that a proposal be based on international law. Rather, our goal is to gather individual perspectives that collectively provide global insight on women's rights as human rights issues.
