Grays Harbor County Department of Public Defense is a newly created department, which opened its office doors in December 2019.  The DPD contracts with attorneys in private practice contracted with the county to provide indigent defense representation.  The attorneys are appointed by the court to represent individuals.

There is an absence of women attorneys in the county although there is a significant number of criminally accused women and minorities.

I invite all crime defense attorneys to consider indigent representation contracts with Grays Harbor County.  The drive to the historic courthouse in Montesano is beautiful and traffic with virtually no traffic issues.
