The Judicial Pro Tem Training is a collaboration between the District Municipal Court Judges' Association's Diversity Committee and the WSBA, and is held every two years. The purpose of the training is to reach attorneys from diverse backgrounds who may not know about this particular pathway to the bench, and sharing information about what it entails, in the hopes of increasing the pipeline of diverse attorneys ready to become judges.

Even if you are on the fence about whether this path is the one for you, consider attending to at least learn what it entails.

The WSBA has graciously agreed to provide a limited number of scholarships to any member of a Minority Bar Association that is interested in attending that may need financial assistance.  Scholarship information is available here: https://www.wsba.org/about-wsba/equity-and-inclusion/wsba-pro-tem-scholarship-application
