Board Member Position Descriptions


Come join us! The King County Chapter of Washington Women Lawyers is seeking board members for 2023. Enthusiastic and dedicated attorneys committed to furthering the organization's mission and interested in the below positions should submit a brief statement of interest (indicating preference for position) to Anela Ramic at aramic@kingcounty.gov and Carinne Bannan at kcwwlpresident@gmail.com. 

Secretary- Responsible for meeting minute keeping, maintaining records, and communicating with Board members.

Judicial Appreciation Luncheon (JAL) Co-Chair - With the other co-chair, plans the annual Judicial Appreciation Luncheon, including coordination with venue, solicitation of sponsorship, and advertising and selection of awardees.

Business Development Chair - Plans a summer social event and develops relationships to assist with event sponsorships.

Communications Chair - Coordinates communication to our membership, including sending our email blasts and newsletters, managing KCWWL social media and webpage.

CLE Chair - Plans 1-2 CLE events for KCWWL membership.

Civic Affairs Chair - Coordinates an initiative or event focused on engagement or outreach with the local community.

Diversity Liaison - Serves as liaison between KCWWL and minority bar associations by attending minority bar events, communicating with other minority bar associations, and planning events or initiatives to promote diversity and inclusion.

Scholarship Chair - Coordinates the KCWWL student and small firm scholarships awarded at the annual event.
