When Laws Conflict: Intersection of State, Tribal, and Federal Laws in Washington State 

 

WWL will present a CLE on the intersection of federal and state law in Washington State in conjunction with the annual event.  The CLE will take place on the afternoon of October 10, 2014, from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m., at the offices of K&L Gates in downtown Seattle.  Topics will include health care (Affordable Care Act), marijuana use, marriage and domestic partnership laws, education, and tribal laws.  Our confirmed speakers are:Alison Holcomb (ACLU of Washington, Criminal Justice Director) Jill Mullins-Cannon (Justice & Equality Legal Services, PLLC), Lael Echo-Hawk, (Garvey Schubert Barer, Indian Law Practice Group Leader), Carol Sue Janes (Bennett Bigelow & Leedom, P.S.), and Jeanne Marie Clavere (WSBA Professional Responsibility Counsel and past WWL President).

 

This CLE is approved for 1 ethics credit!
