Please join us on Thursday, May 20th @ 5:00 pm for the next in our series of conversations on how to harness the power of women across Washington to create a just and equal future for all women. For our May event we will focus on the needs and concerns of Native American women and how their issues impact us all.

Register today to reserve your spot.

Most Native American women are victims of violence, often sexual violence and stalking, according to the U.S. Department of Justice. Most of this violence is perpetrated by people of other races, frequently white men. In the I-5 corridor and across North America, an epidemic of missing and murdered Native girls and women has long been ignored by law enforcement and news media while cases grow cold. There is no reliable data on how many Native girls and women are missing or been murdered. Only the tribal families keep the memories of their loved one alive. With the rise of social media, we are only now learning about this epidemic. Our panelists are on the front lines of this issue. Join us to hear their stories and learn what we can do to support their efforts and help stop the violence.

When: Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 5:00 pm

Where: Online via Zoom

We look forward to a lively and inspiring conversation about this important topic. Visit our website to learn more about our panelists and moderator.

Instead of returning to a post-COVID normal let’s treat this moment as an opportunity to create the next normal. In which all women thrive, where all women’s voices are heard, and women’s leadership in all matters is seen as the default rather than the exception.
