Now is the time to purchase your tickets for the 17th Annual Public Interest Law Association (PILA) Benefit Auction, to be held Friday, February 10, 2012, at Fisher Pavilion (Seattle Center). Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

At this year's Mardi Gras-themed auction, we are “letting the good times roll” in support of public interest funding at the University of Washington School of Law. All proceeds will benefit PILA's Grant Program and the UWLS Loan Repayment Assistance Program. Please purchase your tickets now, and get ready to come together for a worthy cause!

Your support makes it possible for UWLS Law Students to pursue unpaid legal internship that promote the public interest. Since 1994, PILA has awarded more than $730,000 to fund 194 projects, resulting in over 50,150 hours of public interest work. The projects completed by PILA grantees have had an undeniable impactundefinedboth here in Seattle and around the world. In 2011, PILA Grantees used their grants to fund unpaid internships at Columbia Legal Services (Seattle, WA), Southern Poverty Law Center (Montgomery, AL), and the International Justice Mission (Rwanda)undefinedamong many other distinguished non-profit organizations, international NGOs, and government agencies.

PILA is a completely student-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization housed at the University of Washington School of Law.
