Snohomish County District Court is holding a Pro Tem Training CLE on Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm at the Courtyard Marriott, 3003 Colby Avenue, Everett Washington. The cost is $75.00, which includes lunch. You will receive six CLE credits, pending approval from the Washington State Bar Association. Snohomish County District Court Judges and our Commissioner will present the CLE and will be available for questions.
Topics to be covered include technology in the courtroom, using interpreters, in-custody calendars, infractions, criminal calendars, civil cases, small claims, protection orders, sentencing and probation. You will receive a Pro Tem Manual in electronic or paper format, or both, at your option.
Those who are interested may wish to be familiar with Ethics Advisory Opinion 20-07 which addresses potential conflicts for Pro Tem judges who also practice in the same county.
