Low Cost CLE this Friday and Saturday

I’m writing to tell you of a CLE opportunity that may interest your members. Washington State Coalition for Language Access is holding its 9th annual Summit, “Got Language Access: Culture, Collaboration, and Solutions" this Friday and Saturday, and we finally learned it is approved for 10.5 CLE credits (6 on Friday and 4.5 on Saturday). For a $125 registration fee, that’s quite a deal. The Summit will be held in SeaTac at the Hilton Seattle Airport Hotel and Conference Center.

Attendees will learn about language access services, share ideas and resources, and brainstorm collaborative ways to meet the needs of limited-English proficient and Deaf individuals accessing programs and services around the State of Washington. The Summit program is attached.

Some notable speakers will be: Keynote Speaker Washington Supreme Court Justice Steve González, guest speakers Washington Supreme Court Justice Mary Yu, Mr. Linh Thai from Congressman Adam Smith's office, Senator Karen Keiser, Representative Cindy Ryu, and Representative Luis Moscoso. This Summit is particularly poignant as we mark the celebration of 50 years since the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 by reflecting on past achievements and looking forward to the next 50 years of progress!

On behalf of the WASCLA board of directors, I would appreciate it if you would share this with your membership. Thank you!
