White Collar & Investigations - Associate Attorney - Midlevel

The Seattle office of Perkins Coie is seeking a midlevel associate to join its White Collar & Investigations practice. This role will primarily focus on litigation and investigations regarding corporate criminal, civil fraud, and other compliance matters, including with respect to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the False Claims Act, securities laws, and similar areas.  Candidates must have at least three years of experience at a national law firm working on complex litigation and/or white collar matters, working as a prosecutor or government enforcement attorney, and/or service as a judicial clerk. All applicants must have a JD from a top law school, strong law school grades and excellent writing skills.   Principals only, please.

Business Immigration - Senior Attorney

Perkins Coie is seeking a Business Immigration Senior Attorney for its International Transactions & Trade practice in our Seattle or Austin office.  The candidate must have at least 5 years of experience working on a range of employment-based immigration matters including developing immigration strategies, programs and processes for corporate employers to manage their foreign national workforce.  This is a non-partnership track position. 

We are a collaborative team seeking an attorney who is ready to exercise the initiative necessary take their practice to the next level.  Candidates must have strong academic credentials and references as well as strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively manage internal and external client relationships.


Some of the responsibilities for this position include the following:

·       Conducting in-depth research and staying abreast of changes in the law and practice and drafting client updates on any important developments;

·       Reviewing case work and developing a clear case strategy at the outset;

·       Assessing eligibility of corporate foreign national employees for non-immigrant and immigrant visa status in the United States, including, but not limited to E-1/2/3, H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, PERM labor certifications, I-140 immigrant petitions, and I-485 adjustment of status applications;

·       Drafting responses to requests for evidence;

·       Partnering with colleagues to resolve client issues, share information, and support client projects;

·       Communicating regularly with clients regarding procedural, case processing issues, and case strategy; and

·       Supervising the work of paralegal staff in case and document preparation.
