The WA State Dept of Financial Institutions (DFI) is seeking diverse candidates to join our Executive team as our Director of Regulatory and Legal Affairs (DRLA).  This position advises and partners with the Agency Director and Executive Team on regulatory and legal issues related to financial institution regulations. We would like to post our recruitment on any of your relevant job opportunity boards/informational boards for members of your community to consider employment with us.   The DFI is most interested in candidates that hold a Juris Doctorate degree (required) and are members in good standing in the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA) or are in good standing with their state bar association that holds reciprocity with the WSBA;  Experience with Federal/State banking regulations, depository law, or experience having represented clients or agencies connected with the financial industry; Experience with emerging fin-tech issues and experience with securities regulation; Executive level management/leadership experience and skills. This experience should include strategic planning, legislative, media, and other stakeholder relations.
