Job Description:

The law firm of Foster Garvey PC is seeking an associate with 3 – 5 years of experience to join its collaborative and busy Intellectual Property group.  This position will provide the associate with opportunities in both the group’s IP prosecution and IP transactional practice areas, working with longstanding corporate, nonprofit, and individual clients across many industries.  The associate will support the group’s IP prosecution and advice, IP dispute/litigation, contract drafting and negotiation, and privacy-related practices, and will work with attorneys across all of Foster Garvey's offices.

Job Requirements:

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic learner and collaborative team member interested in exploring all aspects of an intellectual property practice, including USPTO and US Copyright Office prosecution, IP assignment/license drafting and due diligence reviews, international privacy protection laws and agreements, and dispute resolution. They should be a strong oral and written communicator with knowledge of state, federal, and international IP laws and experience in researching IP issues. Customs experience a plus.
