Our services within the team include corporate and industrial energy management, energy finance, energy litigation, and utility solutions. We are nationally recognized for work on projects including solar power, wind power, pipelines, hydropower, natural gas plats, renewable gas facilities, transmission lines and bioenergy projects. Role Overview

Stoel Rives LLP is seeking an attorney with 7+ years of experience to join its nationally recognized energy development practice group to sit in any of our offices. The ideal candidate has experience in energy transactions, with an emphasis on construction, supply, operations and maintenance for solar, wind and battery storage projects.  Additional areas of relevant experience may include project development (site control, power purchase agreements), M&A and finance transactions. Qualified candidates will have strong academic credentials, writing skills, interpersonal skills and be a self-starter with a commitment to excellence and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment.

Skills Needed to Be Effective in This Role

·       Experience in energy transactions including project development (outlined above);

·       Enjoy the challenge of supporting M&A and finance transactions;

·       Strong intellectual curiosity and desire to understand how a project serves clients goals;

·       A commitment to client service and team success;

·       Ability to thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment;

·       JD from an accredited university; and

·       Membership in the California Bar or in the state where they intend to reside.
