Clark County Volunteer Lawyers Program – Eviction Defense Position Description
The Clark County Volunteer Lawyers Program is seeking an attorney to join its Eviction Defense (Right to Counsel) team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring that tenants facing eviction have access to high-quality legal representation.
As an Eviction Defense Attorney, you will:
- Represent tenants directly — providing compassionate, client-centered legal counsel from intake through resolution
- Prepare and present defenses — researching applicable law, drafting motions and pleadings, and building strong cases on behalf of clients
- Advocate in court — appearing at hearings and trials to protect tenants' rights and housing stability
- Collaborate with a dedicated team — working alongside fellow attorneys, paralegals, and support staff who share a commitment to keeping people housed
