Foster Pepper’s Investment Management practice is seeking a highly motivated junior to mid-level associate (two to three years post qualification experience) to join our team of talented professionals in the Seattle office.

This is a unique opportunity to work alongside the Investment Management practice’s attorneys and staff in counseling and advising our highly acclaimed set of clients in connection with their investments in a wide range of complex alternative investments, domestic and international private equity and hedge fund investments, real estate transactions and investment management agreements. In addition, the associate will work on other legal matters impacting our clients, including the impact of applicable domestic and foreign laws and regulations relating to alternative investments.

The candidate must have at least two years of experience at a major law firm in the United States, in investment management, private equity, securities and other financial and alternative investment transactions. Comfort with drafting complex documents, acute attention to detail and strong negotiation skills are required, as well as actively participating on conference calls with clients and eventually negotiating key terms and structuring of the investments with sponsor or opposing counsel.  The candidate must also have a JD from an accredited law school and be admitted to practice in the United States. Admission to the Washington bar is desired but not required.
