TAX ASSOCIATE – Garvey Schubert Barer, a law firm with offices in Seattle, Portland, Washington DC, New York City, Anchorage and Beijing, is seeking a mid-level tax associate to join its tax practice in the Portland office.  Candidates must have 3-5 years of law firm experience, an LL.M. in Taxation, exceptional academic credentials, excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills, a focus on income tax (corporate, partnership and individual), particularly with regard to business transactions, planning, entity formation and federal, state and local controversy, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.  Oregon Bar admission is required. Although based in Portland, the successful candidate will be involved in projects originating in our other offices as well.
