Job Description

The DeNovo Team at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is opportunistically searching for mid-to-senior attorneys with significant experience with technology transactions to assist on upcoming projects on a flexible contract basis.

Our practice includes working with established companies and emerging company clients in many industries, including advertising, games, enterprise, software services, retail, fintech, health, and digital media, among others.

Attorneys with prior large law firm experience and in-house experience are encouraged to apply. Seattle-based candidates highly preferred, but strong candidates who are available remotely will also be considered.  Projects vary in duration and weekly hours, but most projects average around 20 to 25 hours of work per week.. While some projects require availability for occasional on-site meetings and trainings, most projects provide attorneys with the opportunity to work remotely on a flexible basis.

The ideal candidate will have:

·         7+ years of experience with tech transactions, including licensing, intellectual property, IT sales, procurement, and supply chain contracts, focusing in the areas of software and hardware.

·         Excellent client-facing skills and experience interfacing with top stakeholders.

·         An interest in alternative, project-based work with flexible hours without the traditional law firm obligations.

·         Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work product with minimal supervision and direction.

Please note that this is an alternative track, contract-based position managed by DWT DeNovo’s innovation team and is non-partner track. We are interested in attorney candidates who are electing to pursue a more flexible way of practicing while also focusing on providing continuous, high-value legal services to clients.  If you are interested in a more traditional law firm associate position, please check the DWT careers page for lateral attorney opportunities.
