Congratulations to Sarah Elsden!

Our own Spokane Chapter President Sarah Elsden has been awarded the 2026 Washington Women Lawyers Outstanding Leadership Award! Sarah will be honored at the Annual Event on October 3 in Seattle. Please join us in celebrating this incredible achievement!

️ Join the WWL Board — Elections in November

Please consider joining our WWL board! Our Chapter will continue to thrive, but only if we have members willing to dedicate time to plan events, push communications, provide networking and educational opportunities, and support charity work. We need YOU! Voting will occur in November; new positions start January 1, 2027.

Position Responsibilities
President Overall direction of Spokane Chapter; communicates with members, board, and presenters; coordinates initiatives and events; leads board meetings.
Vice President Assists President; steps in when President unavailable; develops scholarship opportunities; initiates CLE credits.
Treasurer Procures annual stipend from State WWL; maintains bank account; assists with reimbursements; provides accounting updates at each meeting.
Secretary Meeting minutes; maintaining records; communications with board members; assists Events Chair.
Communications Chair Coordinates email blasts; manages social media; creates event flyers and invitations.
Judicial Evaluations Chair Coordinates screening and interviewing of judicial candidates; facilitates judicial evaluations.
Membership Chair Works with Communications Chair; garners new membership; works with WSBA and SCBA to increase outreach.
Events Chair Coordinates initiatives and events focused on educational, social, and philanthropic outreach. Assisted by Secretary.
State WWL Board Liaison Works with State WWL Board to share information between chapters; reports on State-level activities.
